Map of M4 Junctions 1 to 5: London and Heathrow

The M4 begins at Chiswick in west London and runs on its elevated section past Brentford, then on to Hayes and Heathrow, where the airport spur leaves at junction 4 and the M25 crosses at junction 4B, before reaching Langley on the edge of Slough.

Airport passengers, taxi and private-hire drivers, and west London commuters all use this short but busy section. Heston services sits between junctions 2 and 3.

The road on the map is coloured by the live traffic flow speed, the same data as our live M4 traffic flow map. Choose westbound or eastbound above the map. Tap any junction number to open that junction’s own page.
