Junction 32 at Coryton is where the A470 runs south into Cardiff city centre and north up the valley to Pontypridd and Merthyr Tydfil. Coryton, Tongwynlais and Pantmawr are beside it. Castell Coch is about a mile north-west, and Forest Farm Country Park under a mile south-west.
